　Dr. Hiroshi Kudoh is a plant ecologist, serving as a professor at Center for Ecological Research, Kyoto University. After getting his PhD at Kyoto University in 1994, he conducted his postdoctoral research at the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, Maryland, USA. Then, he was appointed as an assistant professor, Graduate School of Science, Tokyo Metropolitan University (1996-2002), and an associate professor, Graduate School of Biological Sciences, Kobe University (2002-2008) before he moved to the current position.
